Bridgwater
is situated in the county of Somerset, in the rural South West of England.
Bridgwater has a population of around 36,000 and it is located close
to two M5 junctions providing speedy access to the national motorway
system.
The College’s main campus is within a short walk of Bridgwater’s
town centre. It was established as a Tertiary College for Bridgwater
in 1973. As a Tertiary College, Bridgwater College provides the main
progression route for young people leaving secondary schools at 16,
and now has more than 3000 full and part-time 16-18 year old students
enrolled each year. In addition, the College provides education and
training to a total of more than 16,000+ adults, higher education students
and employees of local companies each year.
