Coleg Gwent was founded in 1992 as the result of the merger between further and tertiary education in Gwent.

The college has more than 32,000 students and 1,500 staff. It is the largest further education college in Wales and one of the largest in the UK, offering a wide range of academic and vocational courses.

Coleg Gwent have campuses at Abergavenny, Crosskeys, Ebbw Vale, Newport, Pontypool and Usk.

Communications are excellent with travel by road, air and rail. London and Bristol can be reached using the M4 and the South West of England via the M4 and M5. Use the M50, M5 and M1 for travel to and from the Midlands and the North.

Local and intercity trains offer networks throughout the UK and Europe. Cardiff and Bristol airports serve the UK, Europe and North America.
