Merrist Wood Campus, located three miles from Guildford town centre in Worplesdon, dates back as early as 1318. The 400-acre site specialises in land-based programmes including horticulture, floristry, landscaping, garden design, animal care, countryside, golf, sports turf, arboriculture and equine studies.

The indoor riding arena is the largest of any college in the country and the animal care unit has both companion and exotic animals. Other facilities include specially designed studios and workshops for floristry, garden design, horticulture and landscaping and access to an adjoining 18-hole golf course. Work from the estate is known throughout the county, notably in Winkworth Arboretum, Claremont and Painshill Park, across the country and in other parts of the world.
