Agriculture, Food and Rural Development - University of NewcastleThe School of Agriculture Food and Rural Development is the largest university-based group of academics and researchers involved with the rural industries of Britain and overseas. They have had a long term presence in Newcastle area and over the last 110 years have provided education, extension and research on agriculture and related subjects.

The School was formed in 2002 from the Departments of Agriculture and Agricultural Economics and Food Marketing plus some staff from Agricultural and Environmental Science and from Biological and nutritional Science.

Situated in the King George VI and Agriculture Buildings of the City Centre campus of Newcastle University. They also have two large dairy and arable farms at Cockle Park and Nafferton which are used for research, teaching and demonstration purposes.
