Combine Peas - April
The young pea crop is very open and an attractive target for wood pigeons and insects.
Peas have nodules which fix nitrogen from the air, however the crop still needs phosphorous and potash which are being applied here.
The developing crop.
Herbicide application is necessary because the pea crop is still open and cannot out-compete weeds that grow vigorously at this stage of the year.
