Established in 1986 to support the interests of a group of organic manufacturers, the Organic Food Federation continues to provide a professional and personal service to all its members.

The Organic Food Federation has links with certification bodies in Europe and other countries to facilitate organic trading opportunities.

The Organic Food Federation has adopted the definitive UK legal organic standards which comply with EU 2092/91 and operates under the member state code of UK4.

The Organic Food Federation provides inspection and certification to EU standards, wherever in the world.

The Organic Food Federation is a member of the International Federation of Organic Agricultural Movement (IFOAM).

The Organic Food Federation represents members' interests by lobbying DEFRA, the EU and various bodies to ensure that organic standards are maintained and improved upon at all times.

The Organic Food Federation has developed Aquaculture and Personal Care Standards and will be introducing standards for other specialised products.
